Elden Ring (April-2022)

The game is going to be accessible to players regardless of their skill level thanks to a dungeon-style mission mode where you go through the process of acquiring a set amount of experience points as you clear each dungeon. The game will also have a story mode similar to that of Monster Hunter where you’ll be playing through the main plotline over time.

This game is using the Unity engine, which is a capable platform for game development. I’ll be able to provide details on the engine when I have them, but the general format of how everything is handled is fairly simple. The majority of the load times and the transition times are handled by the server, and instead of downloading the data for every tile you’re going to walk over as you go exploring and combat, the server just tells Unity how far away it is. This means that as you travel through the world, it’ll seamlessly transition from the surroundings of one area to another without any load times.

Those familiar with Monster Hunter will see the similarities in the player progression and experience system, as well as the way the story and missions are structured. That said, the concept for Elden Ring is something that I’ve already been developing for the past three years, and the story and characters are very personal to me and my inspirations for storytelling. I worked to create the perfect medium for the things I wanted to do with the story of Elden Ring, and I’m really happy with the result.

Also, Elden Ring is going to be very fast paced, so it’s going to be very tough to play if you can’t keep up. The whole system for Elden Ring is made to be as open ended as possible and allow for the development of your character.
