The expanded automated capability means that manufacturers are able to process even more markers quickly, efficiently and with less fabric waste: a surefire recipe for a better-quality product at the lowest possible price. Manufacturers under pressure to meet tight deadlines can also keep up with peaks in activity by using DiaminoFashions automated processing feature to take advantage of off-hours. This latest version boasts enhanced processing power that can batch process marker lists faster than before, overnight or while other tasks are being performed during the day, for a double dose of productivity. In addition, it can be launched directly from Lectras cutting-room optimization solution Optiplan, for a streamlined process that saves companies both time and fabric.

Amir Pradhan, Managing Director of Pradhan Mercantile notes that adding control logic to handle pattern placement for automated processing makes it easier for us to process marker lists automatically. We can now stipulate that key pattern pieces need to be placed next to each other during automated processing, whereas before, we had to lay this type of marker by hand, says Pradhan. With DiaminoFashion V6R2, we can now stipulate that key pattern pieces need to be placed next to each other during automated processing, whereas before, we had to lay this type of marker by hand. Our marker-making time has been cut in half and with the additional improvements in efficiency, we have also been able to reduce our fabric waste by up to 1%, notes Pradhan, a leading manufacturer of quality ready-madeapparel. DiaminoFashion V6R2 increases productivity by more than 30% on average, according to a recent internal study.
DiaminoFashion V5R4 is the latest release of DiaminoFashion and includes all the latest features of DiaminoFashion V6, including support for large marker patterns. There are also several workflow enhancements that help mark-makers achieve more.
Now it’s possible to send large marker pattern pieces to DiaminoFashion V5R4 while they are still in the design software, both for processing and editing, says Pradhan. The integrated software tools now allow us to stamp patterns on fabrics as they are being designed in software. We are now able to work more quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively than before, notes Pradhan.
Pradhan explains that pattern pieces can be reworked in DiaminoFashion software on the DiaminoMarker. This enables us to make changes directly on the marker itself, saving time in editing processes. If manufacturers want to remove a stitch or make other changes, we can do so directly in the DiaminoFashion software. Another benefit is that we do not need to send pattern pieces back to the manufacturer for processing. When the marker is finally shipped to the customer, the fabric will already be patterned in accordance with the customer’s order.
