Retrieving data using Jersey and HttpClient

I have implemented a RESTful service using Jersey framework which is working fine.
Now I want to use the same service in Android using HttpClient.
So what I did is I kept the service implementation and converted the service operations in to a singleton class (something like a wrapper, since all the operations are performed in the background).
