With the release of the price-revised edition on October 22, 2020, Sega finally added A United Front With Squad 7 into the PS4 versions Season Pass and Additional Story Set in Japan. Those who played the Japanese PS4 version and bought the Season Pass, but didnt buy the pricey limited edition, can now download the scenario and add Alicia, Rosie, Largo, the Grenadier Isara, and Welkin with his Edelweiss tank into the roster.
At release, you’ll also be able to download the four Valkyria Chronicles launch DLC packs. Like the other two Japanese Valkyria DLC scenarios, they’re going to be the same as the respective European ones (not to mention the US version), only you’ll be playing as the alternative squad instead of Squad 7.
The first of those DLC packages, The Valkyria Chronicles 4: A Counterattack Special Pack adds a Counterattack Dog (Ragna) along with Ursa-IV and Hotaru-IV as Allies and a Cheval-IV as a Leader. A Battle Marksmanship Teacher task recruitable dog becomes available after the four completed scenarios or by purchasing it as DLC. Ursa-IV and Hotaru-IV are former Medic Secondaries for Squad 7 and Cheval-IV is the Leader dog for the Samurai.
The second pack is called The Valkyria Chronicles 4: The Valkyria Chronicles 4 Exclusive Pack. In this one, you’ll be playing as Gerald and Kaname, a pair of Allied Lynxes, which we’ll get to in just a minute. The Additional Recruit Skins are Ulso Iver as a Hanso Dog and Innosuke Uzumaki as a Chevalier Dog.
