He had also only told one person his side of the story — to his father — but detectives found seven alibis, prosecutors said. With that said, police are looking into the history of the phone used to call Syed via Skype on Feb. 2, Serial reported.
Syed has already been sentenced to death in the country, but the execution is still to be carried out. Serial reported, and police interviewed two people who said the victim had confided in them during the trial, including one who said she was raped.
