￭ The Base Module is the first one and the most important module in PanoModules. It is a runtime environment, in which all PanoModules are loaded. It loads a source of source images in background and display them on user’s screen in an interactive mode.
￭ The Base Module is the real workhorse of the whole PanoModules system.
￭ All PanoModules don’t need any pre-existing source images in their order to work. PanoModules ask for new images in background and load them, when new module has been created.
￭ In contrast with Base module, all other PanoModules are loading just one picture and expect it from user to be in format, that will be displaying it on user’s screen.
￭ PanoModules Base module expects only the source image file as a parameter. No extra information is required from modules themselves.
￭ The Base module embeds all PanoModules’ JavaScript to be able to simulate module behaviour in non-Flash browser.
￭ PanoModules Base is the only module, that can interact with the user. All other PanoModules cannot interact with user at all. This feature will be added into future releases.
￭ Even if the Base module is activated, the Base module itself is not interactive. You can use it for all common use cases and features, but it is not required to be used. You can use Base module as the source image provider only, to keep it is fast and light-weight for the user.
￭ All PanoModules use Base module to embed their own code to run. Using Base module enable you to embed your own code to the Base module, so you can make your own PanoModules with your own source image provider and behaviours.
PanoModules Base Tips:
￭ Although you can use your own images for module source image, the Base module displays only public pictures from the PanoModules Gallery. This means, you can not use your own images for gallery.
￭ Base module expects the source images to be in JPG format only. As a result of previous restriction, you can use only JPG format for source images.
￭ Base module works in all browsers that support Flash, including unsupported browsers. Therefore, it is recommended to use PanoModules over Base module only in restricted environments.
