Download The Custom ROM using this guide:

You would need to backup your data using Titanium Backup & and unroot your device.

Flash Custom Kernel first.
I would recommend using the following guide for flashing:
Stock ROM
Requirements:
1. Full charge with atleast 20% battery
2. Device must be rooted
3. Device must have atleast 1GB of internal storage space
Steps:
1. Download the zip file from the link below.
Steps.zip
2. Install VIBE Custom Kernel v2.10 on your device.
3. Connect your device to your computer via the microUSB cable.
4. Locate VIBE.zip and boot it into download mode as follows:
1. Press and Hold Volume Down and Power.
2. When X-Lenovo appears, tap OK and it would ask your to reboot to TWRP Recovery.
5. Once your device reboots, tap Install.
6. It will take some time to complete, Please do not poweroff your device.
7. When it’s done, it will prompt you to reboot again.
8. When your device gets back to TWRP Recovery screen, tap Reboot system.
Your device should automatically reboot into TWRP Recovery.
9. To update VIBE CUSTOM ROM, use this guide for flashing:

The custom ROM is a completely custom rom of VIBE X3 with full root access.

2. Install VIBE CUSTOM ROM on your device.
3. Connect your device to your computer via the microUSB cable.

Guide to install Lenovo Vibe X3 X3a40 android 6.0.1. TWRP ROOT Stock F7B40_S217_S127 with Nougat 7.1.1 without any hacked or custom ROM. NOTE: Before flashing this factory Rom, you need to flash TWRP and CM boot and recovery. Please use the same flashware that I used. I cannot help if your modem is enabled/disabled or use MMS or GPRS. Do Not Just flash the zip file, listen to the video and follow the guide.
