The plugin is based on Quicksearch plugin for foobar2000 [ developed by the same author. The main difference is that the plugin includes an additional toolbar (see picture), so that users can send the search results to a playlist.

All you need to do is to create a new playlist and add your own items like track. There is no need to change foobar2000.ini or add anything to the plugins folder, the plugin ships with two XML config files for you to edit (if you want). This makes it a plugin that is easy to adopt and integrate.
Tags are searched for in the following order: Artist, Album, Title, track.tag, composer.

– You can edit the XML settings to change the default behaviour.
Getting started:
– Important! If you want to play background music while performing a search, be sure to add the Plugin|Plugin Items|foo quicksearch playlist to foobar2000’s background list. You may want to listen to both the background and the search results. The background music needs to be on the same genre as the user music.
