Dance EJay 6 Cd2 Full Version
Trying to find the odd, groundbreaking piece of software can be a real task but with a robust and regular fix released up with Dance eJay, this program has become the one I use over and over again. It’s a piece of software that has been around for some time but has been neglected for too long. Hopefully this will bring Dance eJay 6 back to the forefront of users minds once more.
Dance eJay is actually a program that has the ability to make loops of instruments. It comes in multiple versions which makes it easy to use. The latest version of Dance eJay 6 is great because it has songs and loops inside which means a user can get their music together quickly. The latest version of Dance eJay is one of the most popular programs because of the many features it has and its ease of use. Dance eJay is basically a program that uses loops of instruments to make a music track. Anyone who doesnt know what a loop is Well put simply its a short recording of an instrument ranging from a few seconds and maybe a little longer that can be used over and over again, hence the name loop. The problem with loops is no matter how many the developers add to a program, you are quite limited in what you can achieve and other people obviously getting the same identical loops can stem individuality. This is where Dance eJay 5 has made good progress.
When the BBC Microcomputers became all the rage in UK schools I saw an avenue into getting a computer at home. My parents agreed it was a good idea, and we ordered one. At the time there were really long manufacturing delays, so to sate my appetite for a computer, my father bought us a Commodore VIC 20 instead. I learned to program in BASIC on the VIC, and this helped me learn that computers were nowhere near the level of the onboard computer in Star Trek, and that it was going to take a lot of hard work to get it to do anything more exciting than print my name down the screen! The VIC 20 was soon traded in for a Commodore 64 and I also got hold of a Casio Programmable Calculator. I spent a lot of time immersed in coding, playing games and listening to the wonders of the SID Chip being skilfully handled by the likes of Rob Hubbard, Ben Daglish, Martin Galway and other amazing C64 musicians.
The samples in Dance eJay 5 were mostly all ripped off from Sonix and Tractor studios sound libraries. But although they got the samples out there, they just werent really up to spec on their own. The drums sounded weak and the guitar did not really cut through. So we added more reverb to some of the guitar and gave the drums a boost. Then we added some all new drums that had a much richer sound. The Synth sounds were kind of a “Dance” style and were pretty brutal. But we found most of the other instruments were weak and needed more time to bake in. So we improved them.
The new version would have sounds much more to our liking, as we set out to create our own samples to reflect the music we had heard and to create a more balanced package. We also added some external effects that would make it easier to create spectacular electronic music. So we got a little more hardware and software to compete with the big boys. And we created the first version of Dance eJay.
Some of the best loops ever released were done by Dave Heavens, Chris Close and many other such people, with the music being sent by post to us from the future as in what they claimed was going to be on Future Music Magazine every week. They made the best music in our list of Dance eJay CDs in my opinion, with them providing the money and encouragement to keep a forward momentum to the project. We were lucky enough to purchase the IPOD and MIDI and Loop libraries of the Dave Heavens collection, being the only people to have the first copies.
We now have the tools to actually mix and produce audio tracks as well, as opposed to just a bed of MIDI and loops. This was the next logical step. We thought it would be fun to release the first Dance eJay album to be mix ready, so that others could use it to create mixes if they so wished.
