Using CommunityMate, you will always be in-touch with favorite communities without constant manual checking them. It periodically checks your communities and notifies you once any new posts are detected.

You have to specify the relevant usenet/forums and your rss-tools-url in the first screen, and specify which rss-tools to check. You have to specify the group you want to check and optionally the number of days you want to have checked. When you need to start a check right now, press the checkbutton. Once the check is done, you can select the check results and press the savebutton or view the log. You can view the log by opening the “Log”window. You’ll see one entry per new post.
