Chris VanAllsburg has been working in children’s book publishing and producing books aimed at children since he was a young child. He was diagnosed with asthma at 14 and became less interested in sports as a result. He started as a preschool teacher, and moved to a new school to try to make a connection with his students, but he couldn’t connect with his class.
