In the year 2097, the sun was on the verge of dying and it was up to you to save it.

Development
Zeliria was originally conceptualized as a new Zelda game, to be designed as the second game in the Seiryu Sanctuary series. However, after telling the development team about his original intention to have the player interact with people and participate in activities, the staff members felt that the game would be better and more enjoyable if it were a normal 3D game. The gameplay format eventually became that of an action game; although the previous Seiryu Sanctuary games all featured protagonists, Zeliria is instead a third-person, cel-shaded 3D action game. The game also features new playable characters and the ability to create the game party with up to four of the player’s saved characters in a party. Additionally, Zeliria features RPG elements, such as the earning of experience points through successful completion of tasks and dungeons, in addition to simply completing the game.
The story in the game takes place on the floating island of Zeliria, which is set in an environment designed to promote the player to fight against all the Sanctuary Warriors. The main narrative is that of the tale of the seven Sacred Weapons of the Sanctuary Warriors and focuses on the activities of the group of people known as the San’layn Knights, who patrol the island fighting against hostile enemies.
