simple and easy to use. good app.. but i found a bug in the app. when i write the name of the place in my location list of many place it does not fetch the weather data of the place. only in one place.The involvement of endogenous catecholamines in the stress-induced pro-opiomelanocortin and ACTH secretion by hypophysectomized rats.
The response of the submaxillary gland, the hypothalamus, and the plasma adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) concentration to acute stress in the adrenalectomized hypophysectomized (ADX-hypophysectomized) rats was studied. The ADX-hypophysectomized rats were made more susceptible to the stress by ACTH and corticosterone injections. The stress-induced increase in the plasma ACTH concentration observed in ADX-hypophysectomized rats was completely prevented by propranolol injection. In contrast, the secretion of proopiomelanocortin (POMC) by the submaxillary gland was not affected by propranolol. In the hypothalamus, the stress-induced release of POMC was also not modified by propranolol, while the ACTH response was attenuated. These results suggest that the release of ACTH, but not POMC, from the submaxillary gland is dependent upon endogenous catecholamines in the ADX-hypophysectomized rats.Q:
