PreferenceManager.setPreferenceValue does not work
In my app, I have a preference screen which I am not showing to the user. I have a very simple preference screen with a single Preference to save some Boolean value. When I click save, it should write a default value into this Preference. When I try this, it saves the preference but it does not have the default value. How can I make it so that the new preference value gets saved?
My preference class is:

I read somewhere that using.setValue(true/false) might not work. So I tried using a Preference.OnPreferenceChangeListener but it seems to not work either, since setting the listener changes the UI but does not save the value
