A reminder to you:

- The term ‘lesson’ here means the pieces of material that make up a complete flowol 4 lesson.
The plan is to cover Steps 4-6 of flowol 4, which introduces the following new concepts: (1) subroutines and variables, (2) Boolean operation conditions, (3) loops and repetition of execution, (4) branching on the result of a Boolean operation, and (5) activating the result of a Boolean operation.
I have successfully completed lessons 1-4 of flowol 4 with very good results from learners. I started to use this in the summer term, so the first three lessons I used were lessons 3, 5, and 6. The secondary mimics pack contains lesson 1 (basics) and course 3, which I run with the first three lessons of flowol 4 (which is roughly three weeks of work and more than two days of preparation).
There is definitely something wrong with your installation package as I just tried it and it worked perfectly. Well done :thumbsup: :), it’s not usually important if there’s something wrong with your installation, as you can uninstall the package and get a fresh copy of the program that works fine. A few things to try: I had Flowol4.exe saved in my documents (C:\Users\documents\Downloads\I\Flowol4.exe) and it worked fine there. I then tried it again from the folder in which I had it (C:\I\Flowol4) and it also worked fine. I then tried it by right-clicking the program and selecting ‘run as administrator’, and it worked fine – I have Windows 8.1/10. When you click on the installer, there are options to install in C:/, C:/users/Documents/ or C:/users/Public/Documents/. Try installing it as C:/Users/Documents/Downloads/I/Flowol4.exe, and if that doesn’t work, try as C:/Users/Public/Documents/Downloads/I/Flowol4.exe. The saved file I had saved in my Documents is used by the installer, so if the installer fails, try saving it in another folder and using that. It definitely works fine as C:/Users/Public/Documents/Downloads/I/Flowol4.exe, so the file would need to be some problem with your installation.

one of the things i really like about jonathanparker.com is that you can download the files as a zip file. i saved the zip file under the program files in flowol, but i think thats the wrong place, can anyone tell me the right place. in any event, with the zip file a folder of files open up, several of which look to be instruction files, three of which are image files. do i need the image files? all i want to do is modify the position of the tanks when i play the game.
i wanted to support the developer who created flowol, so i quickly bought the first 4 lessons, hoping to see this flowol game improve. unfortunately, the game does not live up to the developer’s promise, so i decided not to continue with the purchase. if i find that the promised improvements have not been made, i will have to give this flowol game a failing grade.
