one of the first things i did after creating my crack for hddm was to generate a new cryptsetup.conf with my own settings. the reason for this is that i don’t like using my old encrypted root filesystem as my base system, because it has a different partition layout and includes some extra stuff like /dev/ram, /dev/pts, and stuff like that. so i used the generated cryptsetup.conf as my new base and created a new base system (with mkinitcpio -p linux). the following image shows the new generated cryptsetup.conf compared to the original one:
first you need to create an empty /boot partition. my original hddm installation has an empty boot partition. so after doing the cracking, i just use the new generated cryptsetup.conf and mkinitcpio -p linux to create a new partition layout. after that, i create a new initrd.img with mkinitcpio -p linux. after that, i create a new root filesystem (with mkinitcpio -p linux) and copy the old root filesystem to it (using tar -xvzf). then i delete the old root partition (using dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda1 bs=1m), and create a new one (with mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda1). then i create a new fstab with the new root partition.
to unlock the new content and the bleeding edge patch for the game, you’ll need the following 3 files:
- blade_warband_1.152_0.zip – the patch, including the new content. if you don’t have this file yet, you’ll need to download the torrent and get it from there.
- crackmount_0.32_crack.zip – the crack of crackmount_0.32_uncrack.zip, the program that allows to use cracks without registering with the blademwar.com servers.
- blade_warband_1.uncrack.zip – the uncracked version of the game’s patch for the 1.152 version.
