We want to open up Photoshop — and all the other Adobe Creative Cloud apps — on the web by introducing a new, sandboxed scripting environment for the web. The technology behind this called WebAssembly. It‘s a new plugin format for the web. Sandboxing might sound scary, but it‘s actually a very important security approach. Adobe Creative Cloud is surrounded by so much security. We protect our code from all the ways that malware and attackers can compromise our systems. This approach is also important for companies like ours. We have users storing sensitive private data and intellectual property in our systems. Protecting that information is critical from a security perspective.
