Paul Vincent Wolkowitz (February 3, 1922 – May 8, 2011) was an American writer.
Life
Wolkowitz was born on February 3, 1922, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He earned a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1943, and an M.A. in English from New York University in 1949. He then studied at the New School for Social Research with Alexei Leontiev. Wolkowitz also studied at Columbia University, receiving an M.F.A in criticism in 1955.
His first book was Reclaimed Streams: Poets of the New York School (1954). He published several collections of poetry, including The Fence (1956), The Shaking Grounds
