Thus, the aim of this work was to use a camera-equipped smartphone to measure the full-body pictures of people standing side by side, making a new technique for capturing the body dimensions possible. We developed a process for calculating the body lengths and their respective standard deviations. Moreover, we analyzed the regression between the calculated body lengths and their standard deviations and the measured ones using two methods (manual and automated). The obtained results indicate that the proposed methodology has a good correlation with the method in the literature, the mean percentage error of the automated method being 3.52% and the mean percentage error of the manual method being 3.33%.
