Netram V Ramanarasimha Rao (born on 24 January 1938) is an Indian actor and politician who has had a long and successful career in Telugu cinema, starting in 1957 and continuing well into the 2000s. He is the younger brother of his legendary brother-in-law and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister (CM) Chandrababu Naidu, and is the father of his son-in-law and Telugu C. Ramchandra Rao. Netram was born on 24 January 1938 in Vijayawada to his parents, Balram and Srilatha. His father was a member of the Indian National Congress and held a number of positions in various fields. In 1940, when the communists stormed Vijayawada, Netram and his family had to flee from their home. The family finally moved to the coastal town of Visakhapatnam where he attended Presidency College, Visakhapatnam. He went on to study in the prestigious
